All jewellery by Angela Kerr is made from Sterling Silver. Follow Angela's advice to keep your jewellery looking fresh and new:
When being worn:
- You should avoid getting hairspray on your jewellery as this contains acetone, which can attack and damage freshwater pearls and adhesives used for stone and diamante setting. Where possible ask your stylist to fit your tiara or hair jewellery after they have styled your hair. If you have a piece which is built into the hair style ask them to gently cover the piece with tissue paper before spraying the rest of the hair.
- You should avoid getting perfume on your jewellery for similar reasons. Apply your perfume first before putting the jewellery on.
After the big day:
- Sterling silver will oxidise and acquire a golden coloured patina over time. If you polish your jewellery from time to time this will keep it looking fresh and beautiful.
- You can carefully polish your jewellery with a silver polishing cloth which is available from most supermarkets, department and hardware shops.
- Keep your jewellery packaged neatly in the box provided when it is not being worn. This is a good way of avoiding unnecessary damage.
- If your jewellery does become damaged, we will repair it for you. Just send it back to us, carefully packaged, by Royal Mail Special Delivery.
