How to wear your hair decoration....

How you would like to wear your hair decoration and whether you are also wearing a veil is of course entirely up to you but you should feel comfortable and confident with whatever style you decide upon.

Below are some of the most common options for different styles of bridal hair decoration.

Front mounted bridal tiara

Worn centrally towards the front of the hair and should ideally be secured with pins. This style of tiara can usually be worn with a veil attached directly behind. Examples of Hair decorations which can be worn this way: Crystal tiara, and Teardrop tiara.

Front mounted to the side

Usually a hair decoration on a comb or pin. This style shows the hair decoration mounted to the front of the hair style but set off to one side. You can create a beautiful effect with this style by using clusters of smaller decorations. Examples of hairt decoration which can be worn in this way are the Crystal Lily and the Lily Hair Pins (which can also be scattered through the hair)

Side mounted

Usually a hair decoration on a comb or pin. The hair decoration is worn to one side and slightly around to the back. This style generally suits smaller pieces particularly when the hair is worn down. Examples of Hair decorations which can be worn this way: Crystal Butterfly

Back mounted

Usually a hair decoration on a comb or pin. The hair decoration is worn on the back of the head with the veil underneath. Examples of Hair decorations which can be worn this way: Crystal waves and Crystal Lily

Bun wrap or bridal crown

This is a hair decoration which wraps snugly around a specific hair style, most commonly a bun either high on the head or as low down as the nape of your neck. Full crowns can be worn circling the bun itself. A veil can be worn either directly behind the tiara, or at the back of the hair. Examples of Hair decorations which can be worn this way: Crystal Coronet and Vintage Flower Pin

Hair band

Worn towards the front of the hair behind the ears as you would with a classic Alice Band. Examples of Hair decorations which can be worn this way: Crystal Band

If you have concerns about securing your tiara it is always worth talking to your hairdresser - they will be able to advise you based on your own hair style and type.
