Simply pick your dress silhouette from the list below, then read the guide to which tiara or hair decoration will compliment your dress.
**Top tip**
Choose your tiara to match your dress before deciding on your hairstyle. Your hair dresser will then be able to advise you on which hair style will compliment both you dress and tiara, giving you a polished overall look.
A-Line: Gently flares from the shoulders down a flared skirt to create an ‘A’ shape.
The A-Line silhouette is a very versatile style which can be accessorised in a number of different ways. Look at the detail in your dress to make the right decision. If the bodice beaded, look whether it’s beaded with crystal or pearl or a mixture of both and make sure your tiara matches. If you have a coloured sash or panel in the skirt, try adding a little of the colour to your accessories to bring the whole style together.
Angela's recommendation... "Choose a tiara from the classic range for a traditional look or a beautiful hair comb from my Contemporary collection for a trendier style"
Empire Line: Cut with a high waistline that starts just below the bust and usually accompanied by a slender skirt.
The empire line is a very feminine and dainty style, reminiscent of Jane Austen novels. It suits more petite girls and gives length to the body with its high waist line. Understated elegance is the key to accessorising empire line dresses effectively.
Angela's recommendation... "A tiara/ head band from my classic range will suit plainer empire line dresses, whilst a hair pin from the Vintage chic collection (Try the vintage flower pin) will be perfect for lacier gowns giving you a beautiful, elegant look"
Ball Gown: The Traditional wedding dress silhouette, It has a fitted bodice and a full, floor-length skirt which accentuates the hourglass shape.
Choosing your hair decoration for this type of style will largely depend on what overall impression you are trying to create. The traditional ‘bridal’ look, or a big dress with big personality to create maximum effect.
Angela's recommendation... "For the traditional go for a tiara from my classic range with a veil, or smaller hair pins scattered through the hair, try the cluster pins underneath the veil for some added sparkle. For maximum effect, try the ‘Crystal Waves’ hair piece, a real show stopper and perfect for this look"
Sheath: Simple and elegant, follows the natural curves from shoulder to hem. It is often clingy, and many are strapless or backless.
Sheath dresses can be very similar in style to evening wear and are usually quite sexy in style. Like the A-Line silhouette, the sheath will carry a lot of different styles so effectively choosing jewellery and hair decoration to compliment will depend on personal taste and the desired overall look.
Angela's recommendation... "Choose from the contemporary collection for a sleek, city style. Choose from the vintage chic or classic ranges for a more sophisticated look"
Fishtail: The fabric follows the natural contour of the body, showing off your curves with the bottom flaring out slightly to make it a more dramatic version of the A-line silhouette.
The vintage inspired fishtale silhouette dresses are evocative of the dresses worn by 1940’s Hollywood starlets. Often with a small train.
Angela's recommendation... "Go for Vintage Chic, or a spectacular one-off piece to complete this striking look."
